Services for Charles Morgan Wells, 89, of Ada, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, grandsons Jared Wells and Jeffrey Wells will officiate.Burial will follow at Wells Valley Family Cemetery, located west of Wapanucka.Family visitation with the family will be Friday from 6-8 pm at the Criswell Funeral Home.Mr. Wells died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his home.He was born October 8, 1925 in Lockney, Texas to Charles Miles “Chock” Wells and Lura Stella “Bobbie” Thomas Wells.He married Phercella Mae Lois Cogburn June 2, 1951 at Coalgate.Mr. Wells was a retired sign painter for the Oklahoma State Transportation Department.He was a member of the East Main Church of Christ in Stratford.He was a Chickasaw elder and a long time Chickasaw Nation volunteer.Morgan served in the Navy and was a World War II veteran serving his country as a Seaman First Class.He faithfully took care of his wife Phercella “Tiny” Wells always loving her and asking her if she was his sugar.Survivors include his wife, Phercella “Tiny” Wells, of the home; one sister, Mary Jo Lambert of Coalgate; one son, C.M. Danny Wells and wife Betty, Stratford; one daughter, Malipsa Wells and friend, Vernon Sweat, Stonewall; daughters-in-law, Sandra Wells, Ada and Lagatha Wells, Norman; grandchildren, Shamus Wells and wife, Kay, Byng; Cassie Wells, Oklahoma City; Katie Wells, Stratford; Micah Wells, Norman; Jared Wells and wife, Rachel, Stratford; Jeffrey Wells and wife, Hannah, Edmond. Great grandchildren, Ivy Wells, New Kent, VA; Dalton Musser, Byng; Corbin Wells, Byng; Ty, Taryn, Bethany and Kyle Wells, Stratford; Baylee Tyler and Marlee Wells, Norman.He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a son, Wayneth Lynn Wells, and a brother, W. R. Wells.Pallbearers will be Jared Wells, Jeffrey Wells, Shamus Wells, Jimmie Jarrell, Joe Willingham and Duane Rosson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jarrell, O.A. Savage, Ray Jarrell, Joe Lambert, Jimmy Lambert and Johnny Lambert.Special appreciation to all of the staff of Aspire and McCortney Family In-home Care especially to Melissa Dolling and Michelle Woods, 24/7 caregivers.
