Maggie Mae Pittman, a resident of Mill Creek, Oklahoma was born July 2, 1923 in Vandervort, Arkansas to William and Tula (Baker) Quinton. She passed away Sunday September 22, 2019 in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years 2 months and 20 days.

Maggie grew up in Arkansas and Oklahoma when the family rotated between the 2 states with their farming. She attended school at the Concrete school and at Mill Creek.

Maggie and Robert Franklin Pittman were married on November 21, 1940 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son: Gary Dean Pittman; a daughter: Beverly Ann Brown; 1 brother and 5 sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and son-in-law: Cheryl and Johnny Shackleford of Reagan, OK, Karen Walker of Norman, OK; her son and daughter-in-law: Ted and Darlene Pittman of Mill Creek, OK; 2 sisters: Viola "Babe" Seeley of Sulphur, OK, Winzola Bray of Reagan, OK; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Geary Pittmon, Kristopher West, Will West, Robbie Brown, Justin Brown, and Johnny Shackleford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vance Pennington, Dylan West, Andrew West, Reggie Dixon, Roger Johnston, Billy Johnson, Darren Pennington, Zachary Pennington, James Pittman, and Carl Beasley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday September 27, 2019 at the Holiness Church in Mill Creek, OK with Rev. Darryl Patrick to officiate.

Interment will follow at Troy Cemetery in Troy, OK. Family hour will be held Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur.
