Funeral services for W. T.
“Bill” Miller, 84,of the Reagan, Oklahoma, will be held on Thursday, August 5,
2010 at 10:00 a. m. at the Westside Church of Christ in Tishomingo with Brother
Keith Shackelford officiating, assisted by Brother Loyd McElhaney. Interment
will follow in the Troy Cemetery. Mr. Miller passed away on Tuesday, August 3rd,
at the Hillcrest Care Center in Tishomingo.
Bill was born on October 28, 1925 in Reagan, Oklahoma to John F. Miller and
Dixie Mae Dudley Miller. He served in the United States Army during WW II and
married Dalphine Shackelford on September 26, 1947 in Reagan. He was a lifelong
resident of Johnston County and had worked for several years as an airplane
mechanic with the Civil Service. Bill also attended the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Carlton, Walt, Don,
Raymond and Brother Miller; three sisters, Wilma, Myrtle Hazel and Ouida.
Bill is survived by his wife Dalphine, of the home; two sons, Gary Miller of
Reagan and Jimmy Miller of Midwest City; his daughter & son-in-law, Val Dene &
Bruce Bailey of Reagan; his sister, Norma Jean Shackelford of Texas; five
grandchildren, Wrennie Haney & her husband Tom, Chuck Bardin & his wife Cindi,
Corey Miller, Lindsey Hays & her husband Trey and Shawna; six
great-grandchildren, Thomas Haney, Dakotah Haney, Quaid Hays, Jax Hays, Gabe &
Leah; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Thomas Haney, Corey Miller, Trey Hays,
Wendell Shackelford, Billy Smith and A. W. Carroll.
