Katie Evelyn (Thomas) Webb was born on December 24, 1928 in Temple, Oklahoma to Jimmy Ray Thomas and Katheline Willie (Goebel) Thomas. She attended school at Nida and Fillmore, and later obtained her GED. Katie married the love of her life Edgar Franklin Webb on June 2, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and wrangler extraordinaire of chickens, goats, children, and grandchildren. She was a proud volunteer for the Johnston County Election Board where she held elections at Fillmore School and later Milburn Community Center. Katie also served her community by taking many local children to church and teaching to crochet and tat. She was a member of the Coleman Church of Christ.

Katie passed away on October 3, 2020 at her home at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Katheline Thomas; husband Edgar Webb; and infant son, Franklin Ray Webb, her daughter Barbara Ann Carter; two grandsons, Chris William Franklin Webb and Dwayne Kelvin Webb; one brother, Jimmy Thomas Jr. and three sisters, Bonnie Parker, Flo Carter, and Faye Timmons.

She is survived by two sons, Rickey Webb and his wife Susan of Calera, Oklahoma and John Thomas Webb of Wapanucka, Oklahoma; sister, Dorthey Kimbrell of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tracy Carter and husband Tim of Milburn, Oklahoma, Melanie Kallemeyn of Grand Junction, Colorado, John Eddie B Carter and wife Sara of Coleman, Oklahoma, Stephanie and Brian Ball of Georgia, Ana Deachrge of Texas, James Webb of Texas, John T. Webb Jr., of Georgia, Don Forguson of Mannsville, Oklahoma, Misty and husband Eddie of Milburn, Oklahoma, David Webb and wife Adela of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Kalie Carter, Noah Carter, Hunter Forguson, Chloe Forguson, Chase Forguson, Emma Olsen, Troy Olsen, Damion Webb, and Athena Webb, and one great-great grandchild Kynsey Carter and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services to honor and celebrate Katie’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Coleman Church of Christ with Pastor Neil Mackey to officiate.

Interment to follow at Tishomingo Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers will be John Eddie Carter, David E. Webb, Noah Carter, Tim Carter, Eddie Olsen, Grant McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers are D.J. Webb, Jerry McDaniel, Don Forguson, Mike Webb, Troy Olsen, Damion Webb.
