Adeline Tribble, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died on March 30, 2016 at the age of 91. She was laid to rest Saturday, April 2, 2016, in a private burial at the Tishomingo Cemetery.
Adda was the youngest of seven children born to Charlie Erwin and Loter (May) Erwin on September 16, 1924. She was married on November 23, 1940 in Tishomingo to J. B. Tribble, he died on December 2, 1965. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Teresa Tribble Horn and a son, Joel Brian Tribble. Adda’s and J. B’s daughter, and only living child Shirley Tribble Nichols, currently lives in Kerrville, Texas.
Adeline has five grandchildren, Charles David Nichols, Carrie Nichols Blount, Jason James, Debbie Ann Tribble and Johnathan Tribble. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Adda was a talented seamstress. Her handy work could rival designers in Paris and other major fashion centers. She was caring and compassionate, although after J. B’s death, her spirit was broken and she never recovered the joy and passion she lost.
Adeline died peacefully and we celebrate that she is in a more beautiful place with those she loves.
