Funeral Services for Fred Dean Ruth, 67, of Tishomingo, will
be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel with
Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo
Cemetery. Mr. Ruth passed away on Saturday, May 1st in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Fred Dean was born on May 20, 1942 in Durant, Oklahoma to Tom Ruth and Eva
Bigford Ruth. He attended school in Tishomingo and California and after
returning to Johnston County, married Veda Mae Haddock on June 7, 1961 in
Madill, Oklahoma. He was a landlord and rental agent in the Real Estate business
for many years.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, Tom in 1986; his mother Eva in 1990; a
brother, T. M. Ruth in 1975; an infant brother, B. Ruth in 1925; and a nephew,
Jerry Wayne Ruth in 196; one brother-in-law, Elzie Edward Caldwell in 1986; one
sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ruth; and his very special mother-in-law, Elsie Haddock
in 2009; numerous other relatives.
He is survived by his wife Veda Mae, of the home; his daughter, Jinger Wason and
husband David of Edmond; two grandsons, Chad & Shane Wason; one granddaughter,
Tiffany Wason; his brother, Johnny Leon Ruth of Ardmore; his sister, Edna Louise
Caldwell of Milburn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Shane Wason, Chad Wason, David Ruth, James
Latham, Charles Latham and Curtis Latham. Honorary Bearers will be: Daniel
Maxey, Tim Maxey and Alvin McCarthick.
