Tara Elizabeth Parks, 40, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma passed into God’s open arms on November 27,2018 near Ravia, Oklahoma.  She was born Tara Elizabeth Austin on August 8, 1978 in Moore, Oklahoma.  She moved to Tishomingo when she was 9 months old and other than her college years, lived in Johnston County her entire life.  She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1996, Murray State College in 1998 and the University of Central Oklahoma in 2000 with a degree in special Education.  That degree it’s self should tell you about this very special lady’s kind, loving heart.

After graduation, she taught at Choctaw School as a special education teacher, then moving back home and continued teaching at Dickson School for one year.

Then became her most important calling in life, the mother of four beautiful children.  In 2011, with the opening of Parks Family Dentistry, she became the office manager.  While working as the office manager, she never forgot her main priority, her family.  But she was so much more than this.  Tara was the most loving, kind and compassionate person most of us will ever know.  She was always helping others in deeds and words.  She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tishomingo.

Tara is survived by her husband, Justin Parks, and four children: Katy, Ella, Mary Grace and Justin Ray (JR) all of the home; her parents, Ron and Sharion Austin of Tishomingo; her brother, Ryan Austin of Tishomingo with his daughters, Rylie and Lauren; her in-laws, Stan and Mary Don Parks of Ravia; her sister-ijn-law, Kara Miller and husband Travis with their children, Haley and Blane of Wapanucka, Oklahoma; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Memorials may be made toward a scholarship fund in Tara's name at the Landmark Bank in Tishomingo.
