Faye was born on October 14,1943 in Madill, Ok to the late Leonard Huff and Ruby (Kelly) Huff. She spent most of her life in the Johnston County area. On December 4, 1965, Faye married Arthur Lee Martin in Lowndes County, Mississippi, a union that would last until his death in 1985. From this union, three children were born, Steven, Kelly, and David. Faye was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tishomingo. Before retiring, she worked for the City of Tishomingo cleaning the community center and other areas for the city. She also spent sometime being a caregiver for home health. Faye enjoyed taking care of others. She had a big heart and loved to help others. She enjoyed working and always put forth her best effort. Faye enjoyed cooking and loved to cook for her family. If you wanted a good home cooked country meal, you could find it in Faye's kitchen. Her love of cooking was passed on to her son, David.
Faye was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Arthur Lee, along with brothers, Buford Huff, Hubert Huff, and Raymond Huff; sisters, Doris Goza and Corrine Dollar.
She leaves to forever cherish her memory, sons Steven Martin of Sherman, Tx, David Martin and wife Suzanne of Mead; daughter, Kelly Cranford of Tishomingo; grandchildren, Rylanne, Haylee, Spencer, Mollie, Hannah, Preslie, Ashley, Tyler, Kearra, Colton, and Sydney; Great-grandchildren, Kellyn, Brylyn, Maliyah, Sofia, Kylan, and Kruz.
Graveside service will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at Tishomingo Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Bro. Frank Huff officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kelvin Cannon, Tyler Cannon, Colton Martin, Spencer Martin, Scott Anderson, and Trey Smith. Services are under the care and direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home.
