Funeral Services for Mary Lou Hutchins, 86, of Durant, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel in Tishomingo with Pastor Jon Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tishomingo Cemetery. Mrs. Hutchins passed away on Friday, September 18th, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant.
Mary Lou was born on April 2, 1923 in Newport, Oklahoma to Edward Goebel and Emma Allen Goebel. She grew up in Carter County and married James Arthur Hutchins on October 22, 1946.
He preceded her in death on September 5, 1985. After the death of her husband, she moved to Durant and had lived there since that time. Mrs. Hutchins was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ray Goebel and two sisters, Ora & Maurine Goebel.
She is survived by her children, Jim Hutchins and his wife Glenna of Ariel, Washington, Roger Hutchins of Mobile, Alabama and Joynce Nash of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sister, Charlene Jones of Ringold, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers for the service were: Eddie Weiss, Kyle Weiss, Richard Slayton, Anthony Herrera, Steven Herrera and Anthony Weiss.
