Funeral Services for Virginia Essary, 82, of Tishomingo will
be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel
with Rev. Clay Shannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo
Cemetery. Mrs. Essary passed away on Saturday, February 6th, at the Hillcrest
Care Center.
Virginia was born on May 18, 1927 in Tishomingo to Thomas Arrington Chapman and
Bessie Dink Edwards Chapman. Mrs. Essary was a lifelong resident of this area
and married Forrest Gray in 1947 at Whitewright, Texas and Ebb Essary in 1961 in
Durant, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and had attended the Fist Assembly of God
Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, George, N. B.
“Pete”, Coy & Clark Chapman.
Mrs. Essary is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Brown & her husband Charles
and Patti Russell and her husband Dennis, all of Davis, Oklahoma; her son,
Douglas Gray of McAlester, Oklahoma; her sister, Mildred Edwards & her husband
Earl of Tishomingo;eight grandchildren, Lemar Brown, Nathan Russell, Amy Morgan,
Christ Gray, Ginny rucker, Misty Gray, Ken Gray and Joey Gray; (21)
great-grandchildren; a special niece, Doris Gray and other relatives.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Charles Brown, Dennis Russell, Lemar Brown,
Ken Gray, Joe Gray and Nathan Russell. Honorary Bearers will be: Rollan Dennis,
Ronnie Shannon, Mike Lovett, Chris Gray and Earl Edwards.
