Erma Linda Cook, 70, passed away in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on July 17,
2020.
Linda was born on November 3, 1949 in Tishomingo to Robert and Vera May Chaney. She spent her working years as a care giver and secretary in the healthcare industry. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and family reunions. Linda was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church and adored her church family; she lightened any room she walked into and lived a life to follow Christ daily.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vera Chaney; sister in law, Opal Chaney.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her children, Renee Lewis and husband Tracy of Pontotoc, Ron Cook and wife Christy of Ada; grandchildren, Callie Cook and fiancé Chase Thomas, Jessica Lewis, Scarlet Cook, Hunter Cook, Jonathon Cook, Justin Lewis and wife Kate; brother, Johnny Chaney and wife Terri of Tishomingo; sister, Trisha Courtney and husband Jeff of Mill Creek; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will deeply miss her.
Funeral services to honor the life of Linda Cook will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Church of the Nazarene in Tishomingo.
Interment to follow at the Tishomingo Cemetery.
Family hour will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 on Wednesday. Arrangements have been made under the direction of DeArman-Clark Funeral Home.
