Funeral Services for Mr. Steven DeWayne Brown, 44, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2013 at 2:00 p. m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dale Perry officiating.
Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Brown
passed away on July 20th, 2013 at the Purcell Municipal Hospital in Purcell,
Oklahoma.
Steven was born on April 8th, 1969 in Tishomingo to Ernest Brown and Jean
(Finley) Brown. He grew up and attended school here, graduating from Tishomingo
High School in 1987. He was active in athletics while in high school and was
baptized at the First Baptist Church. After high school, he attended East
Central State University in Ada, Oklahoma. Steven married Tonya Wedlow on July
6th, 1996 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma and they returned to Tishomingo about 2 years
ago. He worked as a stocker at the Wal-Mart store in Madill, Oklahoma.
Steven is survived by his wife Tonya, of the home; two daughters, Whitney
Kincade of Mississippi, and Victoria Wedlow of Ada; his son, Avaunt Brown of the
home; his parents, Ernest & Jean Brown of Tishomingo; two brothers, Tracy Brown
and wife Amber and Ali Brown and wife Tina, all of Tishomingo; his mother &
father-in-law, Margaret & Elmer Wedlow of Ada; his brother-in-law, Maceo Wedlow
of Ada; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Steven’s classmates.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7-8 pm at the funeral
home.
