Phyllis Marie Lattie, Connerville, 74, passed away at her home on August 2, 2020.

Phyllis was born on August 8, 1945 to Willis Gipson and Violet Ozell Lattie in Talihina, Oklahoma. She spent her working years as a homemaker; caring for her family and their needs before her own. Phyllis had a heart of gold, adventurous spirit and had a love for traveling. She could talk to anyone and everyone about anything and everything. If it was your birthday you could always bet that you would be getting a phone call from her just so she could sing you “Happy Birthday”. Phyllis loved her flowers; she had them inside and out. She was proud to be a Chickasaw Citizen and always made sure she was at the meetings; especially the language committee ones. She enjoyed attending church services at every opportunity. Her family would tell you that she was the luckiest person and would always win any drawing she entered. Most importantly, she loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her favorite “only” son in law.

Phyllis will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis Gipson & Violet Lattie; husband, Frank Henry Catron Sr.; son, Frank Henry Catron Jr.; grandson, Dale Catron; great-great granddaughter, Ilianna Cheyenne Mae Miller; brothers, James Lattie, Alec James; uncle, Jack Russell; niece, Sandra Lynn Walker; great-great nephew, Trayton Alexander Patterson.

Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her children, Dale Catron of Pontotoc, Jodiana Morris of Rising Star, Texas, Jesse Catron of Fillmore, Cruella Catron of Ada; siblings, Emma McLeod of Connerville, Joy Catherine Darley of Norman; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service to honor the life of Phyllis Lattie will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the Seeley-Blue Cemetery.
