Funeral services for Ronald Lee Bond, 55,
of Ada, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev.
David Wilson and Rev. Kellos Walker will officiate. Wake services will be Sunday
from 7-8 p.m. at Criswell’s, Rev. Toney Buck and Rev. Woodrow Fields will
officiate.
Mr. Bond was born on March 9, 1960, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to Lee Ray and Cuma
Ward Bond. He died on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Oklahoma City. He was
preceded in death by his father.
Ron is a 1978 graduate of Byng High School, Byng, Oklahoma. Worked for Tyson’s
Food in Broken Bow, Oklahoma; Ada Paper Company, McCall’s Chapel in Ada, and the
Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. He liked sports and especially liked watching
the Thunder play, enjoyed throwing horseshoes, going to garage sales, eating
wild onions and liked listening to gospel music. He was fluent in the Choctaw
language. He was baptized in April 1985, and was a faithful member of the Ada
First Indian Baptist Church. Ron was a reserved person who always had a big
smile.
Ron and Neva Frazier were married on June 21, 1986 at Blue Baptist Church,
Connerville, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Neva; a daughter, Leah; and a
son, Sheldon all of Ada; his mother, Cuma Ward Bond; one sister Maxine
Williamson and husband Clayburn; four brothers, Lee Ray Bond, Jr., Terry and
wife Janine Bond, James Bond, and Glen and wife Janette Bond all of Ada; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.
Bearers will be Johnathan Bond, Derrick Bond, Connor Williamson, Dylan
Williamson, Micah Frazier, Nathan Frazier, Chaz Cook and Vincent Baptiste.
Honorary Bearers will be John Impson, Keith Taylor, Brandon Williamson, David
Brian Martin, Stephen Martin, Tobiah Frazier, Keith Frazier, Josh Frazier, Derek
Frazier and Phillip Frazier.
Burial will be at Blue-Seeley Cemetery, Connerville, Oklahoma.
