Tishomingo Funeral Home
(permission granted)
Aaron Brent Keel passed away October 18, 2020 at his home in Coleman, Ok.
He was born on
September 24, 1971 in Talihina, Ok to the late Johnson Bob (JB) Keel
and Naomi (John) Keel. Aaron lived all of his life in Johnston
county, except for a brief period when he lived in Sherman, Tx. He
was known to be a "Mama's boy" so he never went too far away from
home.
Aaron attended and graduated
from Tishomingo High School with the class of 1989. During his
years there, he played football for the Tishomingo Indians. When he
was able to work, Aaron worked for Sundowners in Coleman and also
spent some time working for Big Lots in Ardmore and Durant. Aaron
was definitely a fan of sports. He particularly enjoyed playing fast
pitch softball with family and friends until his health would no
longer allow him to play. Although he was unable to play, that
didn't stop him from watching. He was an avid OU fan.
Aaron loved hanging out with
friends and watching his Sooners play football. Time spent with
family and friends was always special to Aaron. Aaron was a member
of the Sandy Creek Presbyterian Church in Fillmore where he attended
with his family.
Aaron was preceded in death by
his parents and an older brother, Bobby Keel.
He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, a sister, Deidra Vandevier and husband, Mark of Coleman; numerous cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services to honor Aaron's life will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 10:30 am at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Fillmore with Reverend Allen Beck officiating.
A wake will be held Wednesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Sandy Creek Church.
Serving as pall bearers will be Michael Baken, Jake Dickson, EJ Green, Derek John, Travis John, and Garrett Samis. Jeffrey Alberson and Steven John will serve as honorary pall bearers.
