Emiel James Byars, known as "Buck" to most, passed from this life on Monday, June 14, 2021 at his home in Ada, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.

Buck was born on March 12, 1954 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Harrison and Juanita (Holden) Byars. Buck enjoyed playing the guitar, watching westerns, CSI and the Miami Hurricanes. A member of In His Gates Christian Group, he was a man of faith and loved to share the word of God. Buck was a proud family man who loved his children and grandchildren; he would tell you that he had the most beautiful daughters and thought they absolutely hung the moon. Buck left many footprints throughout his life which will never be forgotten.

Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his children, Tommy Baken, Amanda Morales, Micah Byars, Talisha Byars, Kelli Straughn; 9 grandchildren Caleb Baken, Alyssa Baken, Natalie Ramirez, Mario Ramirez, Abigail Morales, Noah Byars, Diego Morales, Asher Byars, Aleigha Magruder ; siblings, Linda Cardinalle, Emma Wilson, Christie Byars-Chavez, Michelle Byars; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends,

Buck is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Juanita Byars; daughter, Robin Byars; siblings, Carol, Mark, Bear and Joey.
