Family hour will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 17th. Willie Mae Tidwell, age of 76, passed from this life on March 15, 2020 at Blue River Nursing Home in Tishomingo, OK.
Willie was born on August 16, 1943 in Fouke, Arkansas to Benjamin Mann and Lorah Courtney. She was a graduate from Tishomingo High School and went on to attend Murray State College. She spent her years always caring for others and making sure their needs were met before her own. She met and married the love of her life, Buddy Tidwell, on June 26, 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a talented and avid seamstress and quilter and could make just about anything you wanted. Willie loved gardening, birds, flowers and fishing with her husband; anything nature she enjoyed. She enjoyed going to her family’s cabin in Red River, New Mexico and spending time up there as well. She had a talent when it came to singing and playing the piano; she did so with such grace and beauty. Willie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.
Willie is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Mann and Lorah Courtney; four brothers and two sisters.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her husband, Buddy Tidwell; children, Bryan Tidwell and wife Rhonda of Ardmore, Lavena Reed of Madill, Vonda Blue of Ardmore; brother, Tom Porter of Denison, David Bruce of Arkansas; grandchildren, Chase Jewell, Kathryn Myers, Jessica Wickware, Monnie Jewell Reed; 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will forever cherish her memories.
