Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, OK.
Mr. Perkins passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at his home. He was born July 17, 1935 in Wapanucka, OK to Lonnie and Ruth Bates Perkins.Mr. Perkins was an electrician and he served in the United States Navy. He loved the outdoors, gardening and country music but most of all, he loved his family and watching his kids and grandkids. Mr. Perkins would often say, “There will be a test after this!”
He is survived by his daughters, Rie DeSoto and husband Mike of San Antonio, TX, Michelle Perkins, of Burleson, TX, Carey Perkins of Burleson, TX, and Phyllis Perkins of Joshua, TX; seven grandchildren, Stormy Perkins, Jerome Wright, Travis Perkins, Robert Perkins, Donna Perkins, Hustin Garza, and Angel DeSoto; and 11 great grandchildren, Tiffani, Brianna, Tyler, Aiden, Blake, Joshua, Journey, Nikki, Jayden, Azelyn and Amelia.
Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Durlene Perkins; two sons, Melvin Keith Perkins and Tony Stephen Perkins; one brother, Leo Perkins; and one grandson, Tommy Perkins.
