Memorial Service Held for Gary Don Ayers
Memorial services for Gary Don Ayers, a longtime Coal County resident, were held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka with Rev. Bill Weathers officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
Mr. Ayers was born November 17, 1945 at Olney, OK to Carlton Ayers and Mable Haney Ayers, and passed away March 5, 2010 in Coalgate at the age of 64. He was an asphalt contractor.
Survivors include one brother, Lavern Ayers and wife Lynda of Clarita, OK; daughters Michelle Powell of Coalgate and Tammy Gutierrez of Ada; brother-in-law, Charles James of Coalgate; along with numerous other relatives, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Mable Ayers and sister, Lela Mae James.
