Funeral Services for Mr. Phill G. Scribner, 66, of Ravia, Oklahoma will be held
on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel in
Tishomingo, Oklahoma with Pastor Jonathan Smith officiating.
Interment will
follow in the Ravia Cemetery with Military Honors provided by The Chickasaw
Nation Honor Guard.
Mr. Scribner passed away on December 4, 2016 at the
Veteran’s Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
The family will receive friends on
Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Phill was born on June 26, 1950 in Madill, Oklahoma to Homer Aubrey Scribner and
Allia Dean (Bridgman) Scribner. He attended Madill Schools and received his GED
from there. Phill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict
and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was honorably discharged in 1971. He worked
in refrigeration and as a roofer during his working career.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Bill Scribner.
Phill is survived by his wife Marsha, of the home; two sons, Craig Peden of
Moore, Oklahoma and Les Peden of Tuttle, Oklahoma; three sisters, Emily Scribner
of Madill, Kathy Self and husband John of Denison, Texas and Virginia Clark of
Ardmore; four grandchildren, Devin, Taylor, Braden and Kristen; other relatives
and friends.
