Gwenn and her family came to Durant when she was 17. She enjoyed listening to her transition radio and KSEO station of the “oldies”. Gwenn loved life and always had a smile on her face. She always took time talking on the phone with her family and friends, and working on arts and crafts projects. She attended Grace Indian Baptist Church.
Gwenn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Beverly Sue Ghadianloo, Laura Elix, Tammy Elix, and Susie Pistubbee; a niece, Leigh Long; and nephews, Todd Long, Vince Long, and Vance Long.
She is survived by her sister, Tracey Elix of Durant; brothers-in-law, Wayne Dewett of Bennington, and Mike Ghadianloo of Durant; cousins, Kathy Steve of Durant, Sherry Baer, Andrew and Tiger Baer, Kandace Canoe, Layah and Chris Tiger, Perrin and Tim Deal, all of Oklahoma City, Sherran Glinn, Christy Arkansas, Michael Arkansas, Erica and Dane Cunningham, and Skyler and Jake Flowers, all of Durant, and Cheryl Decaire Womack and Kat Decaire Voorhees, both of Achille.
Funeral services will be held a 10:00 AM on Friday, November 21st, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel with Johnny Tonihka officiating.
Committal services will follow at Ravia Cemetery in Ravia, Oklahoma with Wayne Dewett, Richard Nix, Mark Campbell, Roger Hamill, Jess Dewett, and Jeremy Allen, serving as pallbearers.
Gwenn’s family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Thursday, November 20th, at Brown’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that any donations may be made to
the National Institute on Mental Illness.
