Joyce was born on August 14, 1950, at Pawnee Indian Hospital in Oklahoma to Cecil and Della Carter Lassley. As a young girl, she attended Meeker Schools and later Mulvane Schools in Kansas. Following graduation, Joyce attended business school in downtown Oklahoma City before transferring to Long Beach University in Long Beach, California.
On March 15, 1971, she married Edward Littlehead Jr. in Oklahoma. Together they welcomed their son, David Littlehead, and daughter, Christina Littlehead Walker. Later in life, Joyce married her beloved life partner, Paul Donnie Wolf, on November 12, 1993, in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Joyce was a proud member of the Sac and Fox Nation and dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She was active in the Sac and Fox Lady Auxiliary and faithfully helped with the Sac and Fox Honor Guard and Sac and Fox Elders.
She retired from Hartford Insurance after 26 years of service on the Hurricane Catastrophe Team. Above all, Joyce loved the Lord deeply. Alongside her husband, she faithfully served in ministry through Revelation of Grace Through Faith.
Joyce is survived by her son, David Littlehead of Shawnee; her daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Jonas Walker of Shawnee; and her stepdaughter, Tonya Lee Wolf Grant and husband D'Angelo Grant of Texas.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kyle Murdock and wife Athena Begay, Eric Bellymule, Nathan Bellymule, Phoenix Grant, Brently Bellymule, Courtney Littlehead and friend Jacob McNeil, Myra Littlehead, Anika Grant, and Ashley Francis and spouse Joseph Francis III of Shawnee.
Her treasured great-grandchildren include Jaliyah Francis, Jalen Francis, Ezaia Murdock, Christine Draper, Vincent B. Poe, "Buck", and Rielyan Littlehead.
Joyce is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, her sister-in-law Paulette Cozad, extended family members, and dear friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Levi Coody; her sister, Libby Whitebead; and her husband, Paul D. Wolf.
Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose heart reflected her love for the Lord, the power of prayer, and the importance of forgiveness.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Fresenius Kidney Care for the love, kindness, and care shown to Joyce throughout her journey. She spoke of you often and appreciated each of you deeply.
Pallbearers will be Brently Bellymule, Eric Bellymule, Nathan Bellymule, Joseph Francis, Jacob McNeal, Phoenix Grant and Kyle Murdock.
Wake services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Sallateeska Baptist Church in Oklahoma, with her nephew, Reverend Chebon Kernell, officiating.
Funeral services will depart from Sallateeska Baptist Church, located at 45703 Garretts Lake Road, Oklahoma, on Friday at 9:00 a.m. with Sac and Fox Police escort to the Wolf Family Home at 45700 Moccasin Trail Road.
Joyce always reminded her family to say "thank you" - and to do so with a
smile.
