Graveside Services for Mr. J. B. Harrell, 77, of the Fillmore
Community will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 10:00 a. m. at the Russell
Family Cemetery with Brother Allen Beck officiating. Mr. Harrell passed away on
Friday, August 28, 2015 at his home.
J. B. was born on February 20, 1938 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Russell Harrell
and Tressie (Lively) Harrell. He grew up in Western Oklahoma and came to
Johnston County in the early 1970’s. Mr. Harrell has been working for the
Tri-Agra Farm Center in Coleman, Oklahoma for over 40 years. He was still
actively working, until he passed away.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and mother of his children,
Ruth Ann (Russell) Harrell, 2nd wife, Pauline Harrell, daughter, Teresa “Tiny”
Harrell, and sisters, Carolyn Carter and Linda Owens.
Mr. Harrell is survived by his children, Sherrie Harrell and Tommy Horn, and
Bobby Harrell of the home, Gary Harrell and wife Cathy, of Coleman, and Kenneth
Smith and wife Donna, brothers, Leonard “Pete” Harrell of Tishomingo, Oklahoma
and Charlie Harrell of Vernon, Texas, sisters, Leona Strickland of Amarillo,
Texas, Faye Noakes of Ola, Arkansas, LaVada Reid of Martha, Oklahoma, Maxine
Ware of Altus, Oklahoma and Joyce Spottedbird of Oklahoma City, thirteen
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Cecil Russell, Greg Russell, Francis
Russell, Brandon Russell, Bryan Vandever, and Tommy Horn.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 pm at the funeral
home.
