Betty married the love of her life, Woodrow “Woody” Walker on June 10, 1949, and they were blessed with 66 years together. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Good Sam’s Travel Club, the Bryan County Election Board, Lifetime member of Woodman of The World and Hickory Hollow Rod and Gun Club. She enjoyed sewing, upholstery, painting, rodeo, and being an all-around chaperone and chauffeur.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woody Walker; two sisters; son-in-law Norm Clarkson; grandson, Kenneth Reid and granddaughter, Natalie Clarkson.
Those loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her loving daughters Patti Clarkson of Durant and Traci Reid and husband Charlie of Durant; granddaughter Erikka Rich and husband Clint of Denison, TX; grandson Steve Reid and wife Leslie of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren, Jacie Burnett, Zander Clarkson, Josh Reid, Stephanie Reid – Berry, Ryan Reid, and Rachel Reid and 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended families and many friends.
A special heartfelt Thank you goes out to Peggy Yandell, Diana Mantooth, Charlotte Jeffries, and Freda Messer, for their loving care. In addition, we would like to thank Victory Home Health and Hospice along with the entire staff of Brookdale Assisted Living for their care and compassion.
