He was born July 17, 1945 in Hendrix, Oklahoma to William Guy and Odessa Farrell Meade. He attended Blue, OK schools and lived in Garland, TX for many years where he was employed with Garland Power and Light for over 35 years. He married Sherri Dooley July 13, 2007 in Achille, OK and they later moved back to the Utica, OK area. He was of the Assembly of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his Parents a Brother William Gene Meade and Sister Corrine McClure.
Surviving is his Wife Sherri Meade of the home Bentley, OK. Sons Guy Meade of Georgia and Dustin Lorson of California, Daughters Lea Wickline of Georgia and Amber Donihoo of Texas. Sister Mary Nash of Utica, OK. Grandsons Jakob Lorson, Tyler Meade and Jackson Donihoo. Granddaughters Hannah Meade, Trinity Collins and Madison Bledsoe. Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Grand Nieces and Nephews. Sister-In-Laws Gwen White of Bantley, OK. and Karen Hoff of Soper, OK. Mother-In-Law Betty Dooley of Bentley, OK. Fur Babies Simon, Holly, Willie, Snowball, Corky, Eli, Sissy and Pandabella.
A Graveside Service for Roy Meade will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon February 15, 2018 at Oak Grove Cemetery outside of Nida in Johnston County with Pastor Virgil Owen officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jakob Lorson, Tim Miller, Joe Shelby, Tracy Fritcher, Dusty Fritcher, and Charles Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lonnie White and Albert Hoff.
Family night will be held from 7-8 Wednesday night at the Funeral Home.
