Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Viola Johnson Lewis, 91, of
Mill Creek, will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the
Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. Claud Williams officiating. Interment will be in
the Mill Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis passed away on Saturday, February 20th, at
the Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Mary Viola Johnson Lewis was born on December 14, 1918 in Mill Creek, Oklahoma
to James Ira Johnson and Mary Magdalene Cheves Johnson. She married Roy Franklin
Lewis on November 28, 1942 and they had one son, Mark Anthony Lewis. Mrs. Lewis
was a licensed beautician and completed her working career as an insurance
policy writer, having lived in Johnston County most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on December 25, 1981 and
her son, on November 2, 1971; Also, six brothers, Roy, Melvin, Elza, Myrlin,
Lloyd, and Homer and five sisters, Thelma, Elva, Hazel, Ruby and Mildred
Johnson.
She is survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews and friends.
