He was born on August 8, 1933 in Marietta, OK to the parents of Ora Katherine and Joseph Daniel Brewer. J.W. grew up and graduated high school from Mill Creek and went on to join the local National Guard. After spending a year with them he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in West Texas where he met the love of his life, Nadine Davis. After spending his years traveling for work as an off shore drilling supervisor J.W. retired at the age of 59 and him and Nadine settled down in Mill Creek where they called home for more than 25 years.  J.W. was a kind hearted, loving man who never met a stranger and would always lend a helping hand. He served his community and worked for DHS by driving people to local doctors appointment or errands that needed to be ran. A kid at heart, he taught himself ventriloquism so he could teach the children in Sunday School at the Ravia Church of God that he attended. J.W. enjoyed the simple things in life; getting up and making coffee, sitting in his chair reading a devotion or watching the deer. He never took any day for granted and woke up everyday with a smile on his face. He is now rejoicing, singing and dancing with the angels in Heaven until we meet again.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadine Brewer; granddaughter, Heather Brewer, great-grandson, Triston Brewer.

Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his children, Bobby Waine Brewer, Sherrie Brewer-Davis, Linda Kaye Gibson and James William Brewer; niece, Alandra Needham; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss him.
