Ronald Lynn Leavelle, age 66, passed away at his home in Odessa, TX on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

He was born in Hobbs, NM on May 27, 1955, to Joyal Dee "J.D." and Cleo (Durling) Leavelle.  Ron worked as a machinist for 43 years.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Ron was a musician and loved to play music with the Texas Treetop Flyers. He was a sportsman and also enjoyed fishing on his pontoon boat, golfing, bowling and snow skiing. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and he loved riding his motorcycle. A gentle and generous man, he would do anything with you; from hunting to playing dress up. He was a very kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather, who adored his grandchildren. He spoiled them without reservation.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his spouse: Dyanna Leavelle of Odessa; mother: Cleo Leavelle of Mannsville, OK; son: Jimy Hinton of Odessa; daughter: Kelly Hensley of Odessa; three sisters: Karen Chandler and husband J.D., Debbie Barnes and husband Weldon, all of Mannsville, OK, and Roxie Oliver and husband John of Mt. Sterling, IL; five grandchildren: Brandi Sadberry, Shayna Salazar, Travis Cooper and Bridgitt Allen, all of Odessa, and Dylan Hensley of Ft. Worth; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly called him "Uncle Ron."

He was preceded in death by his father: J.D. Leavelle; paternal grandparents: Earl and Myrtie Leavelle; maternal grandparents: Andrew and Bessie Durling; and his good friend: Pat Barney.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Texas Cancer Society.

Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 2021, at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
