Funeral Services for Mr. Marty R. Martinez, 62, of Ada, Oklahoma
will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 2015 at 2:00 p. m. at the Christ Independent
Baptist Church in Milburn, Oklahoma with Brother Earl White officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fillmore Cemetery with Military Honors provided by
The Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard. Mr. Martinez passed away on July 5th, 2015 at
the Pauls Valley General Hospital.
Marty was born on June 10th, 1953 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Robert Martinez
and Shirley (Williams) Martinez. He grew up in Pauls Valley and graduated from
high school there in 1971. Marty later served in the United States Marine Corps
during the Vietnam Conflict. After his Honorable discharge from the Armed
Forces, he worked for several years as a sandblaster/painter in the construction
business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Bobby, C. B., Harrell
and Darrell Kinard and a sister, Lynn Martinez.
Marty is survived by his wife Susie Waddell Martinez, of the home, his son,
Tommy Robbins and wife Janet of Ada, four sisters, Carol Jack of Gulfport,
Mississippi, Tina Whyte of Lawton, Oklahoma, Toni Peacock of Wylie, Texas, and
Robin Marty of Minnesota, six grandchildren, Eve Black, Brian Pierce, David
Pierce, Terrance Exum, Steven Exum and Rylan Exum, his mother-in-law, Marsha
Collins of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be family members.
