Funeral Services for Mrs. Norma June (Stephens) Chambless, 79,
of Paola, Kansas will be held on Monday, November 30th, 2015 at 11:00 a. m. at
the Church of the Nazarene in the Fillmore Community with Reverend Eugene
Ledford officiating. Interment will be in the Fillmore Cemetery. Mrs. Chambless passed away
on November 25h, 2015 at her home.
Norma June Chambless was born on August 10th, 1936 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to
Wright Stephens and Juanita (Scribner) Stephens. She grew up in that area and
later graduated from high school in Alex, Oklahoma. She had lived in different
parts of the country and at one time had worked for the Western Electric Company
in Oklahoma City. Norma was a voracious reader, and enjoyed painting pictures
and making Christmas ornaments.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Norma is survived by her husband Carl Chambless, of the home, her daughter, Lita
Robertson and husband Bill of Garden Plain, Kansas, her son, Stephen Chambless
and wife Donna of Shawnee, Kansas, her sister, Novella Wilson and husband David
of Coleman, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Morgan, Michal, Nathan, Owen and
Summer, and many other relatives.
