Funeral Services for Mr. Jim R. Harner, 69, of the Fillmore
Community will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark
Funeral Chapel with Sister Kay Williams officiating. Interment will follow in
the Coleman Cemetery. Mr. Harner passed away on Friday, October 9th, at his
home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from
6-8 pm.
Jim was born on February 13, 1940 in the Wilson Community, near Wapanucka,
Oklahoma to Tollie Harner and Irene Lattie Harner. He served in the United
States Army during peace time from 1962 until 1964. He married Ruby James on
March 21, 1983 in the Fillmore Community and was a lifelong resident of this
area. Mr. Harner retired in 2002 as a welder for Trail Magic Trailers in
Coleman, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eunis Harner and
Madeline Dobbins.
Jim is survived by his wife Ruby, of the home; two daughters, Donna Bennett of
Albuquerque, New Mexico and Treva May of Milburn,Oklahoma; his son, Danny Lenex
of Fillmore; six grandchildren, Micheal (Takoda), Lucas, Pennington, Dominic,
Derek and Layla; eight brothers, five sisters and numerous other relatives.
