Funeral Services for Mrs. Sue Dean, 77, of Coleman, Oklahoma
will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at the First Baptist
Church with Brother Earl White officiating, assisted by Rev. Jamie Day.
Interment will follow in the Coleman Cemetery. There will be a family and
friends hour on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Clark Funeral Chapel in
Coleman. Mrs. Dean passed away on March 2, 2016 at her home.
Ellen Sue Dean was born on March 8, 1938 in Kenefic, Oklahoma
to O. B. Estep and Maggie (Wilkerson) Estep. She graduated from Coleman
High School and attended Murray State College for a short time. Sue married
Horace E. Dean on January 22, 1956 in Coleman and had lived in Johnston and
Atoka Counties most of her life. She attended the First Baptist Church in
Coleman and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She passed away on
March 2, 2016 at her home at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 24 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Mrs. Dean is survived by her daughter, Tammy Dean and Waylon
Wilson of Atoka, three grandsons, Cacy Cribbs and fiancée’ Emily Henderson
of Wapanucka, Canyon Whittington of Coleman and Whitt Wilson of Lone Grove,
four sisters, Kathy Estep, Trudy Daniel and husband David, Marilyn Goodwin
and Larue Willingham and husband Don, all of Coleman, three brothers, John
Estep and wife Becky of Wapanucka, Keith Estep and wife Diane of Emerald
Bay, Texas and Jimmy Estep of California, two sisters-in-law, Barbara ‘Pat”
Dean of Coleman and Della Collins of Durant, two brothers in-law, Oscar Dean
of Coleman and Joe Dean of Choctaw, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a
host of friends and her special caregivers, Christie McKendrick, Valerie
Goodwin and Brooke Osborn.
Pallbearers will be: Rusty Daniel, Jeff Willingham, Marty
Dean, Eugene “Shoe” Shoemake, Fred Raines and John Germany.
The family requests that memorials in Sue’s name be made to the Coleman Community Foundation, the Coleman Fire Department or the Coleman Cemetery.
