Clark Funeral Service

Services for Paul Schmidt, 85, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Milburn Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrel Heath officiating. Interment will follow at Condon Grove Cemetery under the direction of Clark Funeral Home.
 
Schmidt was born April 14, 1916, in Cheyenne, to Julius and Mary M. Kovar Schmidt. He died Dec. 10, 2001, at his residence.
 
He spent his early years in Roger Mills County and married Joyce Wright on May 20, 1940, at Durant. They moved to Oregon, then moved to Johnston County in 1960. He was a farmer and rancher and member of Milburn Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife on July 6, 1995; a brother, Steven; and sister, Lennie Leddy.

 
Survivors include two sons, Lynn, Mead, and Tim, Durant; two daughters, Pauletta Martin, Grand Prairie, Texas, and Joan Weems, Milburn; two brothers, Isaac, Sayre, and John, Woodburn, Ore.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
 
Bearers will be John Davis, Bobby Smith, Marvin Smithers, Wayne Estes, Dallas Boggs and James Rowland. Honorary bearers are Curtis Latham, James Sides, David Cripps, Scott Schmidt and Kevin Martin.
