Interment will follow
in the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn. Mrs. Lofton passed away on
Wednesday, April 14, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Rosalee was born on July 12, 1932 in Ivanhoe, Texas to Joseph Erwin and
Dena Wallace Erwin. She attended school in Tishomingo where she met and
married Hercel Lofton on January 24, 1948 in Gainesville, Texas. They
lived in Texas for many years while Hercel worked in the oilfield. After
his retirement in 1988, they returned to Tishomingo from Canton, Texas.
Mrs. Lofton was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hercel, of the home; her
daughter, Dena Bowen & husband Sammie of Midland, Texas; her son, Daniel
Lofton & wife Barbara of Avon, Montana; four grandchildren, D. D. Holt
and Doni Arnold, both of Tishomingo, Cherie Lofton of Montana and
Richard Lofton serving in the United States Navy; five
great-grandchildren, Zane & Mason Arnold, Micah Burns, Austin Holt, and
Kiley Lofton; three brothers, J. D. Erwin & wife Roxie of Phoenix,
Arizona, J. C. Erwin & wife Linda of Odessa, Texas and Eddie Erwin &
wife Dana, also of Odessa; one sister, Faye McDaniel of Odessa; other
relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be: J. D. Erwin, J. C. Erwin, Eddie
Erwin, Charlie McDaniel, Jeremy Holt and Chris Magruder.
