Funeral services for Beth H. Houser, 84, of Tishomingo will
be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tishomingo First Methodist Church. Interment will
follow in the Condon
Grove Cemetery in Milburn.
Mrs. Houser was born June 3, 1916, in Milburn to Elmer O. and Sarah Maude Walker
Haley and died Sept. 3, 2000, at a local nursing home. She was preceded in death
by her husband on Nov. 25, 1986; her parents; three sisters, Ora Collins,
Pearlie Wheeler and Thelma Armstrong; and a brother, Buck Haley.
She graduated from Milburn High School in 1935 and married C.B. Houser on April
11, 1936, in Tulsa. They moved to Milburn and lived there until 1968 when they
moved to Tishomingo. Mrs. Houser was a homemaker and a member of the First
Methodist Church in Tishomingo.
She is survived by a son, Charles Houser; a special nephew, Stanley Houser; five
grandchildren, Boyd Houser, Rick Houser, Tracey Reynolds and their mother Alma
Trimble and Cindi Parks and Greg Burkalter; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister,
Jeanette Thurman; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law; and many nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Converse, Wayne Walker, Dwain Teel, Bob Callen,
Benny Lewis and Dub Raper. Honorary bearers will be Jerry Adams, Butch Armstrong
and Jimmy Scribner.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Service of Tishomingo.
