He was born Aug. 14, 1960, in Durant to Charles "Chili" and Ruby (Hayes) Horton. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. He graduated from Durant High School and was a general laborer. He enjoyed country music, karaoke and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Bessie Horton and Nessie "Mammie" Robbins and great-aunt Nora Rowland, along with other family members.He is survived by son Devin Horton, Durant; daughter Autumn Ervin, Durant; brother Charlie Horton and wife Ruth The Colony, Texas; sisters Linda Edelen and husband Eddie, Port Arthur, Texas, Sherry Anderson and husband Mike, Durant, Robin Postier and husband Paul, Tulsa; grandchildren Alyssa and Kayleigh, Durant; aunts Bonnie Reagan, Durant, and Ruby Horton, Duncanville, Texas; very special friend Marion Ned and special confidante and friend Lloyd Bergman. David is also blessed with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Condon Grove Cemetery, Milburn, with Eddie Edelen, Mike Anderson, Paul Postier, Jason Bannowsky, Lloyd Bergman and Dusty Edelen serving as pallbearers.Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
