Funeral Services for Mr. Charles "Mike" Holt, 61, of Milburn,
Oklahoma will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 2:00 p. m. at the Herb
Clark Memorial Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with Brother Len Gipson
officiating, assisted by Sister Betty Denton. Interment will follow in the
Condon Grove Cemetery with Military Honors provided by The Chickasaw Nation
Honor Guard. Mr. Holt passed away on October 29, 2015 at the Mercy Hospital in
Tishomingo.
Mike was born on January 10, 1954 in Bunch, Oklahoma to Charles H. Holt and
Phyllis Jean (Rowe) Holt. He attended Tishomingo Schools and then served first
in the United States Air Force then in the Army National Guard. Mike married
Sherrie Samis on February 19, 1998 and had lived in this area most of his life.
He worked mostly in the oilfield as a roustabout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Holt and two brothers,
Danny and Arbie Gene Holt.
Mike is survived by his wife Sherrie, two sons, Kyle and Michael Dean, two
daughters, Christie Holt and Keri Samis, a grandson, Garron Holt, seven
brothers, Larry, Ron, Doug, Ben, Darrell, and Buddy Holt, and Kenny Walker, two
sisters, Tina Nolthamoper and Tamara Stowers, a nephew, David Holt and numerous
other relatives.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Robert Smith, E. J. Shipman, Dr. Justin
Parks, Jody Burns, Ronald Holt,and Larry Holt. Honorary Bearers will be: Jay
Burns and Michael Perkins.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral
home.
