Funeral services for Donald W. Hogue, 60, Milburn, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 28, 2000, at the Milburn Baptist Church with the Rev. John Branch officiating.
Interment with military honors by members of Tishomingo
Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 4869 will follow at
Condon
Grove Cemetery.
Don was born Dec. 3, 1939, at Seagraves, Texas, to Arley Thurman and Ellie Maude
McGlocklin Hogue. He passed away Sunday, June 25, 2000, at his residence.
He graduated from high school in Odessa, Texas, and served in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War. He married Elaine LaFevers on Feb. 18, 1962, at Milburn,
and they moved to Johnston County at that time from Fort Worth, Texas. Don had
worked as a construction supervisor for many years. He enjoyed fishing and
hunting. He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 4869 and Tishomingo
Masonic Lodge No. 91.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald E. Hogue; and nephew,
Stephen LaFevers.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine, of the home; two sons, Craig E. Hogue and
his wife, Kathy, of Milburn, Cody D. Hogue, of the home; three grandsons, Weston
Hogue, Jared Elkins and Corey Elkins, all of Milburn; two sisters, Pat McFarland
of Hewitt, Texas, and Peggy Aldridge of Tulsa; a brother, Bob Hogue of Overton,
Texas; also numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bill LaFevers, Wendell LaFevers, Pat LaFevers, Mike LaFevers,
Bob Smith and Larry Meek. Honorary bearers are Grady Meek, Homer Don Stallings,
Buddy Parks, Butch Sliger, Edward Parkman and Gene Thornhill.
Clark Funeral Home will direct services.
