Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Jo “Pig” Hamilton, 80, of
Tishomingo will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bullard
Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Payne officiating. Interment will follow
in the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma. Mrs. Hamilton passed away on
July 22, 2010 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born on August 18, 1929 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma to Dick and Bobbie
Baber. She attended school in Pontotoc, and then married Jack Hamilton on August
17, 1946 in Milburn. They were blessed with six children. She worked at the
sewing factories in Madill and Tishomingo and enjoyed dancing and spending time
with family and friends. Betty will be missed by all knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack; three sons, Bill,
Ronnie and Dick Hamilton; one brother, James “Peck” Baber; two sisters, Mildred
Pierce and Mary Ann Holt and one granddaughter, Cynthia Hamilton.
Those loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are, sons, Jackie Hamilton
and his wife Laura of Tishomingo and Mike Hamilton and his wife Myrna of
Kingston; her daughter, Brenda Harris and her husband Coy of Pontotoc; twelve
grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister,
Oletha Kennedy of Union City; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of loving
friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Ricky Cobble, Karl Don Biggs, Dusty
Hamilton, Jeremy Coree, Jim Holt and Terry Ballard.
