Jan was born on November 25, 1953 in Tishomingo, OK to Richard and Mary Jo (Ellis) Shelton. She was a graduate of Tishomingo High School in 1972 and enjoyed calling Tishomingo home for all her life. She spent most of her career working years as an abstractor at Tishomingo Abstract but before that worked for the bank and for the court house for many years. Jan had an outgoing, fun, spunky personality and even back in the day loved to drag race. She adored her pugs, Bubba and Zoey, going shopping and being in her flower garden. The thing she cherished the most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Braxton and Hunter. A wonderful wife, exceptional mother and loving friend who will be deeply missed by all her knew her.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Jo Shelton; daughter, Lori Bivins.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her husband, Larry Bivins; son, Jerry Bivins and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Braxton and Hunter; brother, Van Shelton; sister, Pam Fredman.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Jan Bivins will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home.
Interment to follow at Condon Grove Cemetery.
