Chris Alexander a beloved father, and grandfather, left this life too soon on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the age of 47.

He was born in Houston, Texas on July 18, 1969 to James and Wanda (Shults) Emerson. Chris married his partner in life Reta Bowe on May 14, 2005 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Chris worked for Hausners Storm Shelters. He loved listening to, and playing his drums, to the old-time rock-n-roll music.
 

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Reta Alexander of the home; children, Cori West of Milburn, Oklahoma; Katelyn West of Kenefic, Oklahoma, James Alexander of Durant, Oklahoma, Ronnie Alexander of Durant, Oklahoma, Christopher Alexander of Madill, Oklahoma, Alexander Hale of Durant, Oklahoma and Alyssa Hale of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Donnie Alexander of Durant, Oklahoma and James Emerson of Durant, Oklahoma; sister, Kimberly Layton of Maysville, Oklahoma, Linda Mitchell of Durant, Oklahoma, Pamela Emerson of Durant, Oklahoma, and Lesley Arnold of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ian Ruelle, Nevaeh Ruelle, Karley Ruelle, Larry Ruelle, David Badders, Bryar Badders and Braylee Robertson all of Milburn, Oklahoma.
 

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, James Emerson and Wanda (Shults) Emerson; and daughter, Erica Ruelle.
 

Family hour will be from 3-4:00 PM on Sunday, November 6th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be at 10:00 AM Monday, November 7th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant with Bro. Gregg Engle officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Harrington, Justin Coughran, Greg Mitchell, Brant Phillips, Joe Hendricks, Rickey Davis, BJ Robertson and Daniel Bowie.

Burial will follow at the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
