Neva Sue
McCreary, 82, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at
her home Tulsa, OK.
Her funeral services will be held this Saturday,
March 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel
in Pauls Valley, OK.
Interment will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery,
Milburn, OK.
under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
In lieu of
flowers or donations, Neva Sue's wish would be for you to do
something kind for someone in need.
Neva Sue was
born to Ira and Jodie Marshall on January 29, 1937 in Milburn, OK. She
married Jerry McCreary, the love of her life, June 15, 1957. She and
Jerry lived in Holly, CO where they started their family. After ten
years, they moved back to their roots in Oklahoma ultimately settling in
Pauls Valley. Neva's love of children led her to a career in caring for
children in her home, at school and culminated with 15 years as the
director of The Gingham Goose Preschool. During Neva's extended
illness, she was faithfully cared for by her family and a team of
caregivers who ultimately became family and called her "Mom". Throughout
her illness, she continued to teach love and faith changing so many
lives for the better.
Neva was
preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Jodie Marshall, brother Travis
Marshall and grandchild Kristen Risley.
She is
survived by Jerry, her husband of 61 years, children Brenda
(Kent) Risley, Jane Johnson (Tony) and Dr. Edwin McCreary,
grandchildren Caleb Risley, Sarah (Tracy) Marshall and Hannah
Risley, great grandchildren Tate and Lily Marshall, brother
Wayne Marshall; and extended family, Jesi Alsup, Jennifer Evans,
Ulemu Masankhula, Margaret Talent, Bethanna Grace White, Dr.
Pauli Wheeler, Dr. Justin Parks, Meaghan Werner, Michaela
Martinez, Dr. Laurel and Matt Stacey, Anne Hemphill and John and
Jennifer Buck.
