Frank Leslie Dailey Submitted by: Jacque Pearce Reynolds
Frank Dailey, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dailey of Healdton, Died Thursday, October 23, after a short illness of typhoid fever. The death came as a great shock to the family as well as to many of their many Waurika friends as the boy's sickness was not considered of a serious nature until a few hours previous to his death.
The remians were brought to Waurika Friday and funeral services were conducted at the Waurika cemetery by Rev. H. B. Ellis at 6 o'clock Friday evening. A number of Friends of the family had gathered at the local Methodist church where funeral services were to have been held, but owing to bad roads, the procession arrived too late, and services were conducted at the grave. Many Waurikans joins the procesion and accompanied the remains to the cemetery.

He was conscious until a short time before he died, said until the last that he was not going to die and leave us. I asked him that, if he had to leave us, would he be afraid. He said, "No, but mamma, I want you to go with me." When asked if he knew us, he called us all by name and said that he knew us all. It was mamma and papa to the very last. He was a good and kind child to all of us.
