Walter and Olive Spurlin of Reydon, Oklahoma would like to announce with profound sorrow the passing of one of their many great grandchildren, Andrew Douglas Reid.He was born to Timothy Reid and Jaina Stanley of Ryan, Oklahoma on January 10, 2011 at Duncan Memorial Hospital. He was 4 lbs. and 2 oz. and 16.5 inches long.
Andrew was the grandson of Ada Spurlin of Anchorage, Alaska and Douglas Reid of Wasila, Alaska; and Lia and the late Mark Stanley of Ryan, Oklahoma.
Andrew was born a month premature, they were able to give him the medical treatments to make his lungs mature prior to his birth.
Timothy and Jaina were able to take their son home on January 14, 2011 at that time he was breathing on his own and gaining weight. Only after a short three and half weeks on the morning of February 4, 2011 he went to sleep and Jesus called him home.
He left a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins all who were looking forward to meeting him and watching him grow.
The family would like to thank everyone who has sent prayers and thoughts to them.
At this time a service is scheduled for February 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dudley Funeral Home 414 North Elm Street, Waurika, Oklahoma 73573-2448. {580} 228 3535 for anyone who would like to send flowers, cards, or donations to help cover any costs.
Andrew Douglas Reid was born January 10, 2011 in Duncan, Oklahoma at Duncan Regional Hospital to Timothy Reid and Jaina Stanley.
Andrew went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2011.
He is survived by his parents, Timothy Reid and Jaina Stanley; aunts and uncles, Jaden Stanley, Christopher Reid, Tiffany Hillman and husband Elmer, Christen Reid, and Theodore Reid; cousin, Nancy Hillman; grandparents, Douglas Reid and Leah Stanley; great grandparents, Nell Reid, Olive and Walter Spurlin, Kay and Jim Shults, Pam Jackson, and Boyd Rayburn; God parents, Amy and Todd Morgan; and several family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brad Stanley; and great grandfather Dorman Reid.
Services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma with Curtis Plant officiating.
Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home.
