Chauna LaRaye Smith

February 05, 1972 - May 11, 2019

Chauna LaRaye Smith passed away at the age of 47, while residing in Blair, OK, with cousin Melony Pope and wife Tara on May 11, 2019. She was welcomed into this world on February 5, 1972 to Charlie and Camilla Smith, and a very excited "big" sister Cristalle. In 1977 she asked God into her heart and was baptized in the First Baptist Church at Leedey, OK. Chauna attended Leedey Schools until her junior year where she transferred to Hammon, graduating with the class of 1990. After high school she pursued a cosmetology license at Aladdin Beauty School in Clinton, OK. Chauna participated in rodeos as horses were her true passion. She was blessed with three children, two girls Courtney & Charlee, and one son Dalton. Her true calling was being a "MeMa." In 2011 she witnessed the birth of her first granddaughter and not long after welcomed two grandsons.
She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Frank and Velma Chastain, paternal grandparents Marvin Smith, Barbara Grimes and husband Wilbur, uncles Tony Smith and Richard Johannes.
She is survived by parents Charlie and Camilla Smith of Leedey, OK; sister Cristalle Gamble and husband Rod of Leedey, OK; daughter Courtney Montrose and Fiancé Chris Goss of Vici, OK; son Dalton Patton and fiancé Kirsten Stevens of Sayre, OK; daughter Charlee Meadows of Vici, OK; three grandchildren, TenLeey, Bentley, and Chett; three nieces and one nephew Trista Williams and husband Jessie of Putnam, OK, Tanner Gamble and wife Pamela of Ardmore, OK, and Tangie McNees and husband Colton of Canute, OK; as well as many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
