BROMLEY FUNERAL SERVICE IS HELD
Former Altus Man Dies in Blanchard
Funeral services were to be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today for A. J. Bromley, age 88 years, who died at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Corley in Blanchard, Okla. His body was shipped to Altus early today.
Services were to be conducted by the Reverend Sidney Babcock, Methodist church pastor, in the Methodist church and interment made late in the day, at the City cemetery with F. B. Tims, undertaker, supervising the burial.
Bromley moved to Jackson county in 1892 and lived here until November 2, 1928, when he went to Blanchard to live with his sister [sic]. He lived for many years three miles north of Altus where he farmed.



ILL TWO WEEKS
He was ill for two weeks before his death, having suffered a stroke of paralysis.
Bromley is survived by three sons, Ulysses Bromley of Texas, Sherman Bromley of Kansas, Lurton Bromley of Blanchard; by two daughters, Mrs Cora Keith of Colorado and Mrs Mary Corley of Blanchard with who he was living when he became ill. He is also survived by one grandson, Charlie Bromley who lives five miles north of Altus.
