Death of Mrs. Joe Beard.

Mrs. Joe Beard, one of the "old mothers in Isreal" in Greer county, died at her home six miles northeast of Altus Monday. Mrs. Beard was 90 years of age, and her death, which was caused by heart trouble, was very sudden. She was the mother of Mesdames Chas. Neal and Joe McClaren, Ray and Joe Beard, and her acquaintance in Jackson county was very extensive. The funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 by Rev. Hughes, and the remains were interred in the Beard family cemetery.
