Ms. Leftwich was born April 20, 1926 in Weleetka to Albert and Elizabeth (Jackson) Baker and died May 31 at her home near Wetumka at the age of 80.

Preceding her in death were siblings, Mae Myrtle, Charlie and Marion: son-in-law Jimmy Absher: an infant child: and great grandson, Michael Cody Bowen.
Survivors include her husband, Horace, of the home: two sons, Roy Leftwich and wife, Debbie of Wetumka, and Curtis Leftwich and wife, Betty, of Wetumka: two daughters Wanda Banta and husband Milton of Wetumka, and Linda Absher, Wetumka: 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, four brothers, Jesse Baker, Arkansas, Jerry Baker, Alabama, Clyde Baker, Nebraska, and Cecil Baker, Florida: three sisters, Lois Smith, California, Betty Crownover and Ruth Hare, both of Texas: and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
