Delores Kay Shatswell

Funeral services were held March 1 at the first Baptist Church for Delores Key Shatswell. Rev. Wally Thames officiated at the service.
Mrs. Shatswell was born Aug. 6, 1944 in Weleetka to Olen and Wanda (Thomas) Lancaster and died Feb. 25 (which was her husband’s birthday) in Wetumka at the age of 61.
She was raised in Weleetka where she attended school. She was married to Boubis Shatswell on Aug 27, 1962. They later moved to Jenks before moving to Wetumka where they made their lifelong home.
Mrs. Shatswell was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. Those who know her were very aware of her tremendous fear of snakes and mice.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wetumka.
Preceding her in death was her mother: Wanda Twohey: her father, Olen Lancaster: her husband, Coubis Shatswell.
Survivors include her children, Jodi Crump and her husband, David, of Wewtumka: Michelle Hansauer and husband, R.J., of Davie, FL.: and C.J. Shatswell and wife, Teresa, of Wetumka: and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Anthony Willard, Bobbie Armstrong, Ronnie Shatswell, Kevin Shatswell, Sonny Shatswell, Jerry Mays, Tammy Mays, and Randy Leftwich, honorary pallbearer was David White.
Interment was at the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
