Bobby Joe Tollett, 86, of Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away on September 23, 2021. Bobby was born on October 31, 1934 in Non, Oklahoma to Lloyd Buford Tollett and Carrie Mae (Sumner) Tollett.
Bobby attended Haskell School, later graduating from Gerty then went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his discharge as a Sergeant in 1957, Bobby then went on to attend East Central University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education with a major in Industrial Arts.
Bobby married Sue Lively on March 30, 1961. The couple had four children, Ricky, David, Deanna and Brad.
Bobby was a High School Teacher and owned his own Carpentry business. He then became a Counselor where he was the director of the Southeastern Oklahoma Indian Recovery Center in Ada, OK. Later he retired from Indian Health Services in Parker, Arizona. Bobby was a 32nd degree Mason.
Preceding Bobby in death are his parents, his son, Ricky Tollett; brother, Wayne Tollett; sister, Patsy (Tollett) Oglesbee; brother-in-law, Dr. John Oglesbee; nephew Robin Oglesbee; sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Bryant; brother-in-law, Morris Bryant; sister-in-law, Janet Hutchins; niece, Tammy Mullennix and nephew, Michael Hutchins.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Tollett; children, David Tollett, Deanna Crawford and Brad Tollett and fiancé Jessica Johnson; grandchildren, Brandon Tollett, Coleman Crawford, Chandler Crawford, Lauren Tollett; sister, Barbara Boyd and husband Leon; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday October 1, 2021 at the Non Cemetery in Non, Oklahoma. Pallbearers include David Tollett, Brad Tollett, Coleman Crawford, Johnny Oglesbee, Adam Oglesbee, Patrick Oglesbee, Nathan Oglesbee and Daniel Tollett.
